Pre-Enrolment

  1. We talk to you about your needs and provide you with options and a complete advisory service on everything to do.  
  2. We can help you find a suitable Educator, or you might have someone looking after the child already. 
  3. All of our Educators meet our strict health and safety guidelines. They are police vetted along with all adults over 17 if any that live with them in their house.
  4. If you are already having someone looking after the child, we will advise you about the requirements to be met in order to register with us with regards to health and safety, police vetting and reference checking criteria.
  5. We are approved by Work and Income as a licensed provider, so depending you’re your family income you may/may not be eligible to get Childcare Subsidy through WINZ. 
  6. We will introduce you to the most suitable educator/s closest to your requirement depending on the spaces available with the educator/s.
  7. Once you have made up your mind with starting with the educator, you will be asked to complete an enrolment form to enrol your child
       with our service. We will also require proof of the child’s date of birth (passport copy/birth certificate) and the immunisation certificate for 
       your children
    

Enrolment

  • Once your child’s enrolment form with your child’s birth certificate and immunisation certificate are back with us, we will confirm enrolment for your child with the educator.
  • If you have your own educator, we will do police vetting on your educator and advise you when the police vet is back.

Post-Enrolment

  1. Kids Bonbon Programme Coordinator will contact you to organise some time prior to the start date for settling the child with the educator to ensure that the child feels safe and secure in the absence of their parent/carers. She will also offer some free hours for this settling period.
  2. Your child will be given a Child Portfolio which will become a valuable keepsake of your child’s learning and development for you. .
  3. Based on the educator feedback about the child’s learning, the Programme Coordinator will make an Individualised Learning Programme, based on the Te Whãriki, the NZ Early Childhood Curriculum, for your child.
  4. Our Programme Coordinator will discuss your child’s learning, review the Child’s portfolio once a month. They will also leave resources and toys for the child on visit time. In addition to monthly home visits, our Programme Coordinators also organise play groups, outings and other activities to support educational care.

  • How long does the enrolment process take?
The enrolment process with Kids Bonbon is simple and easy. The time consuming part is Police Vetting, which largely depends on the workload of Police Vetting Department. Normally Police Vetting requests will have results back to us within 4 weeks.
We will run you through steps and documents required for enrolment.
  • if I drop my child at my mother’s house and she look after my kid while I work, Is she able to be funded by the Ministry of Education for doing this?
If your mother worked as an educator for a licensed home based service provider such as Kids Bonbon In home then the service provider would be able to claim funding for your child and your mum will be get paid a subsidy from Kids Bonbon for her work.
  • Is this subsidy income taxable?
No, this subsidy is not income taxable as it is a rewards for your educator's work.
  • If my mother comes to my house and look after my kid while I work, Is she able to be funded by the Ministry of Education for this work?
If your mother worked as an educator for a licensed home based service provider such as Kids Bonbon, then the service provider would be able to claim funding for your child and your mum will be get paid a subsidy from Kids Bonbon for her work.
  • If my mother lives with me and looks after my kid while I work, Is she able to be funded by Ministry of Education for this work?
Only a licensed home based service provider can claim funding from the Ministry of Education.Your mother would need to work for a home-based service as an educator and your home must be available for use by children who are not part of your family and at least one child who is not a member of your family needs to attend your home for care and education.If these conditions are met then the home-based service provider will be able to claim funding for each child, including your child.
